நண்பன்

‘என் friend போல யாரு மச்சா… ‘ this tag  is enough to place the film in our hearts.  Nanban has done justice to 3 idiots just by repeating every nook and corner of its frame. Many will expect a Nanban Vs 3 idiots review. But Nanban has not given us the chance. A shadow is always symmetrical to its own object.

Vijay, the mass factor has taken a class role and fits flawless. Shankar’s presence is felt only on filming the songs. In asku laska he rails his creative train to show up his standard. You would know why Ileana was chosen on irukkana illayana belly song well choreographed by farah khan. Everyone has done their job well.

Well there was nothing changed except the casting in the tamil version and it’s irking to see EVERYTHING copied. The intro ragging scene, vijay’s comeback as a scientist, confession of s.j.surya were some of the places with more creative space but left unchanged.
The Teachers’ Day oration (dialogue written by shankar and madhan karky), asku laska lyrics are Madhan karky's unvaluable contribution.

BOTTOM LINE: NANBAN falls between must-watch and worth-watch. Enjoy the show with your nanbans. all iz well
